Gotta Hate those Creditors!

So, it was time for Zaquel's well child check-up this month. We headed out on Wednesday. We get there and the nurse checks his eyes, height, weight, etc. We go to our room and wait for the doctor. In the mean time, I am given a developmental questionnaire. I am filling it out when I come to the part where I have to say a word and record the first thing that comes out of Zaquel's mouth. (This should be interesting was my first thought.)
So, I proceed all is well, with the words cup, table, and house. Then I say, "a fence". Zaquel says, "Something to keep creditors away". I couldn't tell if he said predators or creditors so I asked, "predators?" Zaquel answers, "Mom, you know the big mean animals?" So I say, "Oh, yes, predators." Zaquel rolls his eyes at me! The nerve of him!
The doctor finally comes in and reads over the questionnaire and stops at this question and says, "WOW Zaquel, you know about predators?" Zaquel says, "No, I said a fence is something to keep creditors away! I told you that first mom! Grown-ups never listen!"

Obviously, I need to work on my listening skills! LOL! I guess creditors could be considered big mean animals don't you?

I do love this boy of mine!

Family Goals

The new year is upon us and for Family Home Evening we made some goals. Each did some personal ones and we did some as a family. One of our family goals is to do a bit of exercising as a family each night. Tonight, Isabel was our trainer...She had us doing jumping jacks, invisible jump roping, push-ups, and tuck jumps. As we were doing our jumping jacks, Zaquel looked at me and said,"MOM! Don't shake your boobs!" I mean really, how candid can you get! I told him I couldn't do that and he said, "Well just try to okay?"
Hopefully, we will have less shaking at tomorrows exercise night! Any ideas on how to achieve this?
