What's in a name?

Do you know what's in a name? Does your name fit you or reveal a certain something about your personality?

I saw this idea and wanted to do it for myself. I took the idea one step further and did letters for my kids' names too! Magnificent don't you think?

When we frame them, they will go horizontally...couldn't really do it that way on here. You get the idea! Our last name is awesome too..I just wasn't sure I want all of cyberspace to know it! You will just have to stop by my house for that one!

A HUGE thanks to KIM who kindly indulged my crazy idea!

We did this during our family photo shoot in Oct. Those are a post for another day! :)

Belated Halloween

Since it's November, I thought I should finally post some Halloween pics!LOL
And Yes, it was freezing cold when I took these in the am thus the folded arms :)

Off to get some candy loot!

she was done...with pictures that is!

Do You Believe in Ghosts?

If you do, or even if you don't...you will love this romantic haunting tale of a girl finding out who she is and where she is from!

The Tale of Halcyon Crane, by Wendy Webb, is a quick read, and most excellent if I may say so myself!
So beat this cold weather with a warm cup of chocolate and a blanket and get to reading it!

My One and Only Zaquel

So, there really is no other little boy like mine! Here are a few stories to illustrate this statement!

Today with my neighbor Trish...
Trish: "Zaquel, you look super cute today!"
Zaquel:"I know!"

At Breakfast:
Me: "I love you Zaquel!"
Zaquel:"I hate you!" (He was smiling his big dimpled smile so wide I knew he absolutely was lying!:)
Me:"I made you, you should love me with all your heart!"
Zaquel:"You didn't make me, Heavenly Father did!"

Last week in the car:
Zaquel: "Hey there are the missionaries!"
Me: "Aren't you so excited to become a missionary when you grow-up?"
Zaquel: "I already AM a missionary Duh, mom!"

Very well said! Even if I didn't make him, he is very much so related to us! LOL!

Just Read It!

These books are a must read! I know I said that about "The Help" but these are so amazing! Collins' attention to detail and her creative style and imagination portray a world you think really exists. Maybe in some ways it does...

Anyway, if you haven't read the Hunger Games, Catching Fire and the final book in the series, Mockingjay...Go do it now! I promise you won't regret it!

If you have read them, do you not agree with me?

Toodles!

My Boy

There is one thing I am sure of...it is that there is no one else on earth like my boy! Here is our conversation last week on the way over to a friend's birthday party.

Z: Mom, don't get too lonely without me okay?

Me: I will try not too.

Z: Maybe I should take a picture of you with me to the party and you can take a picture of me to keep and then we can look at them and remember each other! Then you won't be lonely!

I was just grinning ear to ear! He is a sweetheart don't you think?

On Sunday morning as we are getting ready for church:

Z: Mom, Billy Bob (name has been changed) doesn't wear church shoes to church. He wears regular shoes.

Me: What do you think about that?

Z: I think he doesn't want to be a member of the church then!

In Primary the lesson was on Gratitude:

Zaquel raised his hand and said: "I am grateful that my sisters butt is bigger than mine!" He was referring to his little sisters butt of course!

You just have to love this boy of mine!
